SPLICING FOR HEAVY MARINE
Same splicing method used for yacht rope
but a lot more power is needed to complete the job!
Pictures were taken during a rush splicing job in 2 inch dia.nylon braid (6 inch
circ.) in 1986 that was on its way to Nova Scotia to be used on the new MV. Caribou, Gulf Ferry running between Newfoundland
and Nova Scotia that had just gone into service. The day was finished up with the loading of two pallets each containing two
lines into the back of my truck and then delivered to Pearson Airport to arrive in NS. the following day.
